Welcome to Florida's Iconic Landmark
Located just on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida, you’ll find the thriving city of Clermont. This town just so happens to be the largest in Lake County—known for its rolling hills and pristine lakes. Founded in 1884, Clermont was once a sleepy community filled with citrus groves. Today, the citrus groves have all but disappeared...but there is a poignant reminder of what was there before—the majestic Citrus Tower.

Built on one of the highest hills in the central ridge section of Florida, original owner, Mr. Harper, had a vision for the future. Eventually, that vision became a reality. On July 14, 1956, the official opening of the Citrus Tower was held for the very first time! In the years that followed, hundreds of thousands of visitors ascended the tower to the 360-degree panoramic Observation Deck to see approximately 35 miles in any direction. As years rolled on, there was another man with a vision, Mr. Messer, who had a dream of creating an establishment that would house education, community, and the revival of culture.
